Fergie's out, Fletcher's in

The Toronto Maple Leafs have done the expected, and fired General Manager John Ferguson Jr. The Leafs will hold a news conference this afternoon to make it official. Sliding into the GM's chair is Cliff Fletcher, the 72-year old former Toronto, Phoenix and Calgary GM. Fletcher will run the show for about six months, then move into another executive position with Toronto, likely as team president.

So, will Fletcher convince Mats Sundin to waive the no-trade clause in his contract? The Leafs captain would be a highly sought-after addition to any contending team's roster.
