Pats pick up blueliner

I'm thinking this acquisition could bump Alex Pym down another notch on the depth chart. News release from the Regina Pats below.

Regina, Saskatchewan – Regina Pats General Manager (Brent Parker, perhaps?) is proud to announce the acquisition of defenceman Cody Carlson from the Medicine Hat Tigers in exchange for a 3rd round bantam pick in the 2010 WHL Bantam Draft.

The 18 year old power play specialist from Victoria, B.C., has spent the past two seasons with the Tigers, accumulating 16 points in each season. In 7 games this season, Carlson has a goal and 3 assists.

Carlson will be at Pats practice this afternoon, and be in the lineup tomorrow night against Prince Albert.
