Run the Table?

I'm happy to report the North Regina Little League White Sox (Senior Rookie A) won their season opener last night. I know this will come as a relief, and significant news for most people in the Western Hemisphere.

I'm proud to report the Sox were led defensively by 2nd baseman Jacob Paczko, whose solo put-outs in the field were reminiscent of a young Robbie Alomar. The old apple doesn't fall far from the tree, does it?

You'll notice yours is linked to this one! The instructions for setting up links are in Blogger help - it's a little tricky.

As for Robbie....er, Jacob; his glove says it's made by Wilson - but I suspect the real manufacturer is Hoover! Ground balls to second base translated into a one-way ticket back to the dugout for the batter/runner. It was a beautiful thing.

Mind you, he took a few trips to the plate to get his swing down. I attribute that to a lack of familiarity with the pitching machine, plus all that off-season weight training Barry..........er, Jacob did.
