Thursday Cheers and Jeers

So, who has impressed and/or disappointed you in your local business/retail community this week? I'll start:

Cheers:
  • Novia Cafe. Great food at a great price. What more do you want at lunch time?
  • Lakeview Fine Foods. Surprisingly good selection for such a small grocery store. And excellent customer service. A little pricey, though.

Jeers

  • Concessions at Mosaic Stadium. The J-man and I invested in a burger and a slice of pizza at last Sunday's Rider game. The burger was cold and the pizza was lukewarm. Call me crazy, but I expect a little more for $6 each!
  • Level Corp. Two emails asking when they plan to complete my job went unanswered this week. The next email is to the Better Business Bureau.

Okay, your turn. Let 'er rip!

Cheers:
Phoenician Way Tanning Salon. Great atmosphere, can always get a time, very good prices.

Stones Throw Coffee House.
Outstanding selection. If you can't relax there then check your pulse. Outstanding customer service.

Steeped About Tea.
Located in the Victoria Square Mall. Shockingly low prices for these gourmet drinks. Very high quality products. If you are tea drinker it is the place to go. Huge selection.

Jeers:
Downtown YMCA.
Get vaccinated, and be prepared to catch a foot virus. So dirty in the locker room it should be condemned. Ignorant members that are these old timers with no regard for hygiene or locker room etiquette. If someone actually wipes down the equipment after using it take a picture as nobody will believe you. Complain to the site management and they shrug their shoulders.

Cheers - Regina Muffler & Brake
I have always had good service there. Always do the work you asked for and never anything more and they don't try to screw you.

Bocado's - Great food at a reasonable price, one of the best restaurants in the city.

PC Place - good service, good warranty, good guys

Jeers:

The no minds who think it's okay to swear loudly, burp loudly, and/or drop a noxious butt bomb (ie: fart) in a crowded gym. What the hell is up with that?
