Eberle and Rowat up for WHL awards

Congratulations to Regina Pats goaltender Linden Rowat, defenceman Logan Pyett and forward Jordan Eberle. All three players were named to the WHL's Eastern Conference first All-Star team today. The other members of the first all-star team are defenceman Karl Alzner (Calgary) and forwards Steve DaSilva (Kootenay) and Tyler Ennis (Medicine Hat).

Rowat and Eberle are also in the running for league awards. Rowat is the Eastern Conference nominee for WHL goaltender of the year, while Eberle is the conference nominee for the scholastic player of the year.

WHL Scholastic Player of the Year, Daryl K. (Doc) Seaman Trophy
Eastern Conference – Jordan Eberle (Regina, SK) Regina Pats

WHL Coach of the Year, Dunc McCallum Memorial Trophy
Eastern Conference – Michael Dyck, Lethbridge Hurricanes

WHL Executive of the Year, Lloyd Saunders Memorial Trophy
Eastern Conference – Kelly Kisio, Calgary Hitmen

The winners of these awards along with the WHL Player of the Year will be announced at the 2007-08 WHL Awards Luncheon in Calgary on Wednesday, April 30th.
