Cool:

"including a preview of the 2006 World Junior Championships." this happened last May in Edmonton - looking forward to the preview.

Pete - did you notice the Moose Jaw/Silvertips trade. Looks like it makes the Warriors a bit more competative. Like I said teams are going to make moves to get better. Unfortunately the Pats have a bunch more games with MJ. You don't want them too energized. Can you imagine how those MJ guys feel going to the Tips!

Going from Moose Jaw to Everett - not unlike winning the lottery this year! The Warriors look to be setting themselves up for a return to contender status next year.

Not exactly, anonymous. Edmonton hosted the nationals in May of this year. The 2006 World Junior Championships will be held December 15-21 in Tempe, Arizona.

However, we do have some lovely parting gifts...

World - Canada - I always get those mixed up..... I'll take the gifts and go home.

Lang and Young are a very good team. Lang is a bright young GM and the record shows it. The Warriors have finished 1st two out of the last three years.

The Warriors think they can make a playoff spot and I think they can. They will have to jump either Regina or PA. I am betting PA because they have a tough road schedule after Christmas, including the west swing. Thoring will help them this year but Calla and Reese will be a great building points for next year.

I suspect Brandon, Swift and PA will all be making moves soon.

PA's kind of iffy. They're probably good enough to sneak into the playoffs - but not good enough to do any damage. So, do they load up and hope for a decent playoff run? Or do they make deals with next year in mind? I'm guessing it'll be the latter. But, that's all it is - a guess.

Fighting has kind of hurt the lineup these days. Brownlee has been out, Snellman is out, and now Elder is a bit iffy. It is a necessary and important part of a WHL team. It had however cost the Pats a bit of sick bay time.........

Brownlee should be back in the lineup this weekend. Snellman - bit off more than he could chew in his last fight. Elder...well that's just a freak injury. Hopefully he won't be out long.

On the bright side, I see Brent Parker is acknowledging the need for help on the blueline (today's L-P). Old Fan should be pleased to hear/read that. Actually, any fan of the Pats should be pleased.

Old Fan likes it. Go Brent and make whatever moves are necessary!
You see Pete I began following the Pats in 1974 as a very young man when they won the Mem Cup. Suffered through 5 yrs of poor hockey. Watched the early 80's Pats..Man what a treat! We had so many 50 goal men, they couldn't all get on the #1 PP. (that was in the days of old style hockey of clutch and grab. Still 5 50 goal men)

I have been waiting ever since to see the glory days of Pats hockey return, but alas it never has. So the way I see it Parker might as well get what it takes to build a winner now and because you never know what the future brings. You always hang onto the gems but after that you do what it takes to win because Jr Hockey is so flighty. SOOOOO Mr Parker..do what you gotta do!!!

I would love to see us playing a League final in April soon, before I get too old and have to retire to Kelowna and become a Rockets fan..that hurt me you know.
