Hey Pistol,

Here's an update for ya on Matt Strueby. First exhibiton game he scores two goals! Game 2 he nets 4 (four) goals and I believe there was an assist or two in there.

It is just exhibition, I know that, but what a start for the 18 year old rookie!!!

So far, so good. Now let's see how he does against opponents looking to take his head off. Good to see he packed on some beef in the offseason - he'll need it!

Pistol!!!!

Ya your right on there, it is different when your playing the real games night after night!!!

He's not one to get too dirty in the corners, but he sure does have the uncanny ablity to find his way to the net. I betcha there going to give him a real good chance in the early goings to see if he can catch fire.

If he gets some PP and is with gifted players, ya never know, he just might surprise some people this year.

Young Struebs did have quite afew goals while penalty killing with the Pat Canadians last year. So he is not that one dimensional player that many labelled him as while growing up.

Geez, they're already talking about Strueby playing between Eberle and McAngus on the top line! Good for him.

Whaaaaaaaaaaaat?

Well personally I think that is a little premature, but hey why not give the kid a shot.

I read on Gregg Drinnans Blog that the Pats are flying young Struebs home for his Grandfathers funeral on Sunday. Sorry to hear about the loss.
