- Prediction #1: The Regina Pats will trade a goaltender before the WHL bantam draft on May 1.
- I have no idea which goaltender will get moved.
- Prediction #2: Unless something unforeseen happens, the Pats will select a defenceman with their first round (17th) pick in the draft.
- I think I want the Pittsburgh Penguins to win the Stanley Cup. I still can't bring myself to root for Montreal.
- Do the folks that are organizing the Regina Thunder's annual Sports Dinner realize the 2008 Grey Cup game hasn't been played yet?
- The Lakeshore Tennis Club holds its annual spring social tonight from 7-10 p.m. Come check it out.
- Rod Pedersen is looking for the hottest Rider/Pats fan. Coincidentally, so am I!
- Another birthday party for the Jake-man tomorrow. With me handling the gift buying, every kid in his class is going to have a nerf football by the end of the year!

I agree with you one goalie has to go. They have a glut and will likely take another this draft. A big name should get a first round pick or an impact player.
What I find most interesting is your suggestion they will pick a d-man with their first pick. I kind of thought they were young and deep there. We haven't had an NHL 1st round forward pick since Josh Holden. I would have thought they might want to add a speedy forward. Maybe they think there will be some available in the later rounds. As valuable as the draft is the true test will be finding hidden gems and listing them.
The Pats feel they've got a good group of young forwards coming up - that's where they've made their early selections the past couple of years.
Meantime, they haven't picked a d-man in the first round since Teubert, so they believe it's time. Mind you, if one of their top 5 rated forwards is still available at #17, that could all go out the window.
