REGINA, SK – The Regina Pats Hockey Club and the Moose Jaw Warriors Hockey Club are pleased to announce the Trans-Canada Clash will once again be taking place this February.
On Saturday, February 9th, members of the Regina Pats alumni will face off against the Moose Jaw Warriors alumni at the Brandt Centre at 1:30 p.m. Funds generated from the event will go towards both team’s education funds.
The Regina Pats and Moose Jaw Warriors are known for having the biggest rivalry in junior hockey, and like last year’s Trans-Canada Clash, this year is shaping up to be a game to remember! Some returning alumni include Dale Derkatch, Stu Grimson and Rod Houk of the Pats and Theoren Fleury, Darryl LaPlante and Pat Beauschene of the Warriors.

It looks like it could be on again this year as well. Just after the Pats announced their trades, MJ won the Wishart sweepstakes. In doing so they also paid a hell of a price. They gotta go far this year because the next few are likely to be pretty sparse being they have given up most of their high propects and/or picks.
There is no doubt MJ wants to make a charge for it just like the Pats. I wouldn't be surprised to see the Warriors do a couple more trades. I believe the potential is there for the Pats do do two more as well. It will be a bitch if these two teams end up in the 1st round against each other. It will be a hell of a series yet one team will be kicking turds down the road at the end. I truly hope they don,t play each other in the first round BUT it's looking like it could happen!
Whoever wins that series may not have much gas left in the tank for the 2nd round! I'm thinking Moose Jaw will finish 2nd in the division (ahead of Brandon) and 4/5 in the conference.
