Here's the basics:
- Andy Fantuz - please remove your head from your ass. Please.
- Kerry Joseph - when the defense sends the house, getting rid of the ball quickly is usually a good thing to do. It's what the smart quarterbacks do.
- Wes Cates - congratulations, the starting tailback job is yours.
- Anybody else miss last year's offensive line?
- Fred Perry - you're a stud. Can we clone you?
- Tucker and Acree were hobbled, and the Riders still couldn't cover them in the 2nd half!
- Luca Congi misses a chip shot field goal at the end of the first half - it bounces off the upright, so the Riders don't even get a point for the miss. Lo and behold, they lose by one.
- D.J. Flick - go offside much?
Last week, the B.C. Lions were clearly the better team. This week, the game was handed to the opposition by moronic mental mistakes (alliteration intentional). Can't wait to see how the braintrust reacts to this meltdown.

You're right ..what the hell was that?
Newsflash - this team, players and coaches better get their collective heads out of their asses OR they will be 2-3 by next weekend. Boy won't the moaning begin the huh.
We were Ok but not awesome. In the 2nd quarter Ray just missed his reciever (wide open) for 6pts. A couple series later Armstaed runs one back 90 yds. ... reverse those plays and its very close. WE ONLY SCORED ONE OFFENSIVE TOUCHDOWN!!! IN 4 QUARTERS.. SO WERE WE GREAT, NO BLOODY WAY.
Ray cut through our vaunted defense like butter in the 2nd half. No adjustments.
Is Joseph the answer, hell that question was being asked last year!
I'm not sold!!!
Our O-line actually sucks. We were Ok when they weren't blitzing but as soon as they did, we folded like a cheap tent. The O-line looked small, slow and uninspired. I think some personnel changes are going to have to be looked at. The number of guys missing blocking assignments on the o-line was deplorable. Not enough talent there.
On the defense, learn to play man to man! I seen some of the sloppiest tacking I have seen in years. C'mon Richie this is your defense and they didn't do you proud.
I would have much rather seen them lose the first two and then win the next two. It would have shown improvement. Over the last two games this team has taken giants steps back.
Getzlaf and Kunitz will be bringing the Stanley Cup to Regina. Did I mention we could have had Getzlaf in Regina. He wasn't even taken the first round of the Bantam Draft..alas..scouting..one of Pats big weaknesses.
Hey Pete,
Did ya see the reply Tillman put up on the Roughriders official message board?
Probably the most unprofessional response I have ever seen in years. I won't count the comments made by Shivers along the way, he was just plain ignorant. When Eric Tillman tries to distance himself from the Riders past and tries start anew, well...he just blew it.
To bring up Shivers, Barrett, former players, Jim Baker, and foul language brought into the mix....
You BLEW IT Tillman!!!
Coach
Oldie - Ah, let's not forget - a lot of other teams passed on Getzlaf too. He was undersized, and not a particularly hard worker. Times have changed.
Agreed on the Rider comments. BIG step backwards this week. Saturday night's game is as close to a must-win as it gets this early in the season.
Anon - frankly, as a former journalist and current communications practitioner, I have no idea why the GM of the Riders gets dragged into these on-line peeing matches. It shows - in my opinion - poor judgement and a very thin skin. Not unlike going on one media outlet to complain about the work of an employee of another media outlet. If he gets this worked up about things this early in his tenure, look out!
Just got a reply from Hopson this evening, the Brass will be looking into Tillmans comments.
This guy has the same attitude and EGO as Shivers. We got rid of one clown and we signed another!!!
To MOCK the Riders past and say he will gladly shove it in our faces when and if they succeed.
Tillman is a first class GOOF!
Coach
